The "Jupiter" building, part of the "Starry" residential complex in Tyumen, represents the final phase of a major development project in the city. The complex is envisioned as a "mini-city" where everything is within walking distance: a new school, kindergartens, shops, beauty salons, and coffee shops. This multifunctional approach extends to the landscaping as well; the complex’s four towers are united by a shared podium base that houses an internal courtyard.

CONCEPT
This project clearly embodies the studio’s signature approach: an interconnected narrative metaphor — a captivating myth. It is designed to forge a new identity for the site and leave a lasting impression on the future residents of the complex. The imagery of our concept draws upon themes of Jupiter, dreams of space exploration, science, and the human drive for discovery.
It all begins with an intriguing master plan design inspired by the atmospheric swirls of the distant gas giant Jupiter. The planet’s clouds resemble light and dark bands — a motif reflected in the paving and landscaping — while delicate, winding lines echo string theory.
At the center of the courtyard lies the main playground, "The Great Red Spot," featuring a play teleporter and a spacecraft designed for communicating with extraterrestrial civilizations. Other playgrounds are themed around various moons of Jupiter; for instance, the "Io" playground reflects the moon's more than four hundred active volcanoes through its landforms and surface patterns.
All of this fosters imaginative thinking and creativity. When selecting play equipment, the focus is placed on developing children's sensory skills and coordination. Some of the small-scale architectural features are reminiscent of spacecraft and the exploration of distant galaxies.
In the "Glow" recreation zone, atmospheric lighting creates an effect reminiscent of Jupiter’s aurora, while reddish ornamental grasses swaying in the wind form continuous "air currents." Areas for relaxation and sports activities serve as secluded retreats; these are nestled amidst lush greenery dominated by tall deciduous shrubs. The hedge planting features Physocarpus opulifolius 'Amber Jubilee', a variety with foliage that shifts color throughout the season — ranging from yellow or orange in spring and summer to fiery red or cherry-red in autumn.
The landscaping echoes the master plan’s layout, accentuating the "vortex" motif. While strolling through the courtyard with their children, residents can explore the solar system in an educational zone, while a secluded yoga area offers adults a space to connect with their own inner microcosm.
